1. Your go-to outfit formula? When I need to feel confident it will be a dress and jacket.
2. One color you can’t resist? Personally blue, from sky to indigo. In nature greens, white and yellows, these colours give my peace.
3. Your definition of self-care? Achieving a balance. Giving time to different areas of life so you’re nurtured as a whole person.
4. What’s always in your carry-on? Moisturizer and lipstick!
5. Silk pajamas or oversized tee? Mmm pajamas but I prefer mens cotton pajamas
6. The ultimate shopping city? It’s a tricky one. I have been lucky enough to have visited a few cities with my work. Obviously London is my home and I know it well so I dart around to those more hidden jewels that are in most cities.
But Florence was the most charming city on impact, but I have a romantic heart.
7. Where do you find inspiration? Learning about people, who have come before me. Films, paintings and music. It’s an alchemy of senses and thought patterns.
8. How do you name your collections? Naming it doesn’t really happen until its nearly finished. There are working titles for looks. Mood and details evolve along the way.
For summer 25 I wanted to explore the movement of the body in dance, the freedom of expression and the shapes a body makes.
The film ‘Lee’ was released in summer 2024 about the British female photographer Lee Miller. I have been fascinated by her for years.
Also, the work of Barbara Hepworth, her sculptures. See Alchemy!
9. One detail that always makes its way into your designs? There will always be a strong, soft feminine energy to my work.
10. What’s a fashion rule you love breaking? There are no rules now. As soon as you think there is one, someone instantly breaks it and looks fantastic
11. How would you describe your aesthetic in three words? Uplifting, considered, feminine.
12. What’s next for you? I’m about to start the next collection and there’s some good exhibitions coming soon too.
There’s the Grayson Perry at the Wallace Exhibition and Bling-tastic at the V and A museum. I always get excited about going to see new exhibitions
I need catch-up with friends as well, now its getting lighter in the evening.
